SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES


The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) is dedicated to keeping the fees for our member schools as low as possible. We appreciate your assistance in this endeavor and welcome your tax-deductible donation in any amount to help off-set costs which would otherwise be passed on to schools. The events and amounts below are suggestions. We are happy to work with each contributor to find a mutually beneficial arrangement. During this day-long workshop, 10-20 administrators and owners of massage schools and programs will learn about the COMTA accreditation standards and processes. Sponsors will be acknowledged through inclusion of their logo in the projected presentation and verbal announcement of their sponsorship. A table will also be available for sponsors to display business cards and marketing materials.

COMTA News
We are seeking sponsors who can contribute in the area of graphic design and publication of our newsletter which we send out to 200+ parties three times per year. Acknowledgement of the sponsor will be included in print on each newsletter. Value of the contribution:

COMTA – Making Accreditation a GREEN Activity
Many schools can attest to the many forests worth of trees used during the old ways of COMTA accreditation. We are proud to move our operations to paperless systems. Implementation of these changes has a higher overhead which we would prefer to not pass on to our member schools. All levels of contribution are welcome and contributors will be recognized at our Annual Awards Ceremony. We have created suggested levels for individuals or organizations to use as a guideline:
Conscientious Recycler level - $100
Tree-Hugger level - $500
Grand Re-Forester level - $1000
Planet Saver level- $5000

Annual Meeting for COMTA Schools
Through our regular accreditation activities we have identified a number of areas where schools have challenges in common. Many conferences and conventions are held for the massage therapy profession or for vocational colleges, but few target the specific issues we have identified as areas for improvement in COMTA accredited schools. COMTA will be hosting a conference in 2011 to bring those with expertise together with those in need to address the challenges we see across many of our schools. Specific topics will include student completion and placement; cost-effective solutions for professional development of staff and faculty; considerations for Federal funding for students; satisfactory academic progress and student retention. Contributions in the year prior to the conference support COMTA in securing space and developing the programs. More specific sponsorship and vendor options will be available closer to the time of the event. Amount to be determined by each contributor.
