Kate I. Henrioulle

Since joining COMTA as Executive Director in June 2009, Kate has been pleased to be involved in all aspects of the accreditation process, including on-site visits to schools. Kate has in-depth experience both as a massage therapy practitioner as well as an educator, having most recently served as Dean of Education from 2006 to 2009 for the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) in San Diego, California. Prior to being named Dean of Education, Henrioulle also served as an IPSB Massage Instructor and Clinic Supervisor.  Henrioulle is a graduate of Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and has also studied a variety of bodywork modalities through the California Naturopathic College; Society of Ortho-Bionomy International; the Natural Healing Institute; and the International Professional School of Bodywork. She has been active in volunteer work for the AMTA Teacher of the Year Awards Committee and the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education Standards Committee, and is a long-time member of the ABMP. Kate seeks to share her experience by helping other massage schools improve their curriculum and processes to meet the Standards of COMTA accreditation.

Robin K. Polk

Before joining COMTA, Robin was with the National Accrediting Commission for Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). In that role she supervised on-site evaluations to determine regulatory compliance with NACCAS, state and federal guidelines and made recommendations for the approval or denial of additional courses in cosmetology after schools became accredited.  She was also an admissions recruiter and sales representative for Strayer University in Newington, Virginia, an educator for Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, and an assistant account manager for The Capitol Informer of Washington, D.C. Robin is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is currently working on her MBA at Strayer University.


LaToshya Vaughn

LaToshya joined the COMTA staff after working in the world of grant writing. Her enjoyment of previous experience working in accreditation with the American Psychological Association (APA) was an inspiration to find work in the field again. A graduate of Bowie State University with a degree in Psychology, Toshya recently completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration of Criminal Justice and Security through the University of Phoenix online.
